The Hellenic Centre is situated in one of the most charming and sought after areas of London in the heart of Marylebone.
This beautiful red brick and Portland stone building, with its unique history, began life in the 1900s as Swedish gymnastics college and served as a Swedish War Hospital for the British wounded during WW1. In 1992 the Hellenic Community trust acquired the building and after a sensitive and elegant conversion, the Hellenic Centre opened as a cultural centre in 1994.
The building's many light and airy spaces make it an ideal London venue for all kinds of bussiness, professional, cultural and social events, from concerts to conferences and weddings to fashion shows.
Its centrepiece is the extraordinary high-ceilinged Great Hall, which can accommodate up to 200 guests. This galleried white-walled space allows great creative flexibility for both professional and personal celebrations.
In addition there is a wide range of more intimate meeting and exhibition rooms, including the Friends room, the Boardroom and Library.
Clients who have used our facilities include, the NHS, Loyds Banking Group, Waitrose, Boots, L'Oreal, Marks and Spencer and many more who return time and time again.
Preferential pricing is available for Company Members and Member Societies (see membership page for details).

"...we have had lots of thank you and complimentary emails from guests, and the evening was deemed a great success. You and your team did a great job leading up to and during the evening. Thank you very much for being so helpful and for accommodating all our requests. It was a pleasure to work with you in arranging the event"

"The Hellenic Centre proved to be the perfect place for a wedding reception - an extension of our home for the day! The different spaces worked brilliantly - sitting out for the oldies - a playroom for the children. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful making for a stress free and joyous day.We have had a lot of letters thanking us for the reception, particularly from parents of small children who all felt very comfortable with the arrangements. And we too thank you for being so enabling."
